Peprenjak is not Croatian Pepper Jack
Okay, so I don't speak Croatian. So when a friend returning from a trip from Croatia gave me a wedge of cheese called Paprenjak with a picture of hot peppers on its label, I naturally assumed Paprenjak was the Croatian word for Pepper Jack.

The 7th Annual California Artisan Cheese Festival was March 22-24, 2013. As part of the festivities, we embarked on a cheese tour, visiting two local cheese makers.
