Pepato or Pecorino Pepato is a Pecorino Cheese (sheeps milk) from Sardinia, Italy. Crushed peppercorns are added in to the curds during cheese production.

The name Pecorino Pepato is not protected, so there are many different varieties. There are also "Pepato" cheeses that aren't in the Pecorino family, but have pepper added during production similar to Pecorino Pepato.
