Tetilla
Tetilla is a cow's milk cheese from the Galicia region in north western Spain. The cheese is creamy, almost sweet, and not salty. Its taste has also been compared to a mild cheddar. The cheese is made from milk from the Rubia Gallega breed of cow.
Tetilla has an interesting name and an interesting shape. Tetilla means little breast in Spanish, describing the cheeses shape. The cheese is sometimes also called Perilla (little pear) because the shape is also described to be pear shaped. The shape of the cheese comes from the molds that the cheeses are formed in.
Tetilla's name is protected in Europe.
