Apetina
Apetina is the Danish version of Feta cheese. It is made from cow milk instead of sheep and goats milk like the Greek version of Feta.
Apetina is mild, tangy, and creamy.
Apetina used to be called Feta. In 2005 the European Union ruled that the Danish cheese could no longer be called Feta, reserving that name for the Greek Cheese of the same name. Danish Feta became Apetina.
Where to buy
We haven't found any source of Apetina yet for the United States. The cheese is available in grocery stores in much of Europe, through Arla Foods.
